New Head Coach -- Joe Witt
Joe was a competitive swimmer with the Savannah Swim Team for more than 15 years. He started his swimming career at a local YMCA at the age of 6, and began competing year-round for SST a couple of years later. He compiled multiple state championships and state records during his career and a USMS national championship in 2004.

Near the end of his competitive career, Joe began coaching with the Savannah Swim Team along with his mentor Robbin White. In 2003, he took the head coaching job for the Landings Swim Team. In 2004, he led the Landings to their first Savannah Coastal Swim League Championship in their 30- plus-year history. The following year Joe was selected to represent Georgia, as a coach, in San Antonio for the 2005 Southern Zone Championships.

Currently, Joe is competing and coaching Olympic Weightlifting at the Paul Anderson/Howard Cohen Weightlifting Center in Savannah.  Joe holds a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science and a M.S. in Sports Medicine from Armstrong Atlantic State University. He is also certified through United States Weightlifting as a Sports Performance Coach, and through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

  Coaching Consultant - Bill Pilczuk
Bill is from Cape May Point New Jersey and has a very interesting swimming career. Without a scholarship offer, Bill headed off to Miami Dade Junior College. His skills improved enough to earn some scholarship money in his second year and to win a National Junior College championship. Bill continued his education and his swimming career at Auburn University as a walk-on. He just kept working in the pool and in the classroom. His efforts in the classroom paid off when he graduated magna cum laude. Bill also started to make a splash in the international waters in 1995. Finally in 1998, his time had come. He became the first swimmer to defeat Alexander Popov in an international event since 1991. While Bill is proud of his place in history, he does not talk too much about it. He would rather talk about basketball, cricket, or British football.

Bill has since made coaching his focus. He was on Dave Marsh's coaching  staff at Auburn University and he has spent the last several years working with the British National Team. Bill brings a plethora of swimming and coaching experience to the deck. Cheers Bill!
